The White Elephant Sale, Old Lyme, CT.

At noon many, many had lunch outside at one of the many tables set up. I caught up with my good friend Linda while our kids looked around. It was extremely hot but fun.

I bought this for my husband because of his bad back. When I got it home he said they always take a golf cart now. But he liked this little cart anyway. Maybe I'll keep it for myself. It was only $20.

The inside of the Congregational Church's new addition built about 10 years ago is quite fancy. All the parishioners who belong to this church and their are many in Old Lyme are very nice. Our church is next door, the Catholic church, is very supportive of this one. The priest and pastor of the two churches are good friends. So are many of the parishioners from the two side by side churches so many events are supported by both communities. We take turns going back and forth for soup kitchens in both facilities because both churches have professional kitchens and beautiful dining
rooms that can seat many folks from surrounding towns as well. Plus, there is no shortage of cooks and volunteers in Old Lyme. My kids and I volunteer as often as we can manage it.

A map of Old Quebec I found in the "art department". Needs to be reframed etc. but my kids really liked and it reminded them of our trip their last summer for a few weeks. My father's family hails from there from a very long time ago and some still live there.

Did you have one of these growing up? This is coming with us to Truro, Cape Cod. Loved the colors. I swear I had the exact same one growing up. The bag of marbles inside this set wasn't even opened yet.

Sophie wanted her picture taken in front of these two "trompe d'eoil" paintings I found on canvas. I am not sure where they are going yet but they are pretty and very well made.
