A hidden beach in Old Lyme.

This little white mailbox is the only indication of an entry to the beach at this part of town.

You must drive for about a half mile down a one lane road to reach a field to park your car.

I love the way the trees look on this lane. It reminds me of Savannah, GA.

Only one car can fit at a time, so if someone is driving out there are various places to pull over depending who is closer to the pull over spot.

To the right is an old barn that has seen better days. The shingles are weathered and worn from the salt air.

This is another abandoned old barn in a field before you reach the beach. It is almost completely covered in concord grape vines.

The beach and picnic tables await just past the field. That's the tip of Long Island in the background.

Pretty dunes.

A sticker on your car windshield is required to park.
