The three wise foxes this Christmas Eve.

I am wrapping up (literally and figuratively) this Christmas Eve with a few odds and ends left to do this morning.

This afternoon will involve a few batches of cookies, maybe a nap and then on to church at around 5 o'clock. I will be wearing my black velvet pants and silk top with a black and grey cashmere wrap. I may even break out my really high, high heeled pumps but most likely I will wear my favorite "Christmas shoes" in red.

We are not ones for staying up late on Christmas Eve like some families because we have to wait for Santa to arrive, so dinner will be the traditional fish but not many courses.

I loved this photo of the little fennec foxes; they are so darling!

Have a joyous and wonder- filled Christmas Eve!

I recently had a bad health scare that sent me to the ICU of this hospital for a week or so. I am better now thank goodness but it was not a fun time for me.

However, this hospital located in Sharon, CT. I cannot say enough good things about. Stellar doctors, as well as nurses that do 12 hour shifts for consistency of patient care. The inside of the hospital is a pretty as the outside you see here. The inside is blue and white as well and I even had a library on my floor to get books to read. When I was finally allowed my own private room, I had a plate glass window that overlooked the Berkshire hills and the Litchfield County valley that was as beautiful as a postcard. And this hospital is so quiet!

I sat on the edge of my bed for hours looking at that view and healed. How wonderful I thought it would be to have a view like this every day. Hmmmm.

I think I will donate some of my own beloved coffee table books to the patient library in appreciation for those who saved my life and peace of mind.
